I don't know how it exactly happened, it was any other day with the same old routine. I was walking from class on King Edward (God it's such a beautiful name for a street isn't it? It's so historic and majestic, I wonder if it was really named after a King Edward, if so.. I would of liked to meet him), I don't know if it was Matthew Good's Tripoli echoing in my ears from my sellout Ipod or because the wind was blowing at exactly the right speed and at the perfect temperature but I got this sudden moment of revelation. There were red leaves falling from a tree directly on top of me and they started raining on my head and danced in the wind right before my eyes and I swear to God they were falling for me. Then I saw the faithful Normandie, I felt like crying of happiness at the sight of it because I am so grateful for that silly apartment and the people in it.
Ottawa, I want to kiss you on the lips.
