Farscape
On Sunday I taped part 1 but when it was done at 11:00pm I wasn’t able to watch the whole two hours because it got too late. So when I got home last night I watched part 1 without commercials and when it ended I had 10 minutes before part 2 was to start. I’m glad I got to watch both parts back to back because it made more sense. Now I had only seen a few episodes in season 4 so I know that I missed A LOT. Yesterday at work I read all the past episode summaries, it was a slow day. The beginning of part 1 re-capped some stuff also so that helped. So all that being said here are my random rambling thoughts.
What an amazing mini series. I truly loved it. It was funny, chaotic, sad, heartbreaking, and hopeful all in one. John’s excitement of having a child was so cute and the funniness of Rygel carrying their baby was great. How on earth did that baby get transferred through that tube thing? Wait, I don’t want to know, lol. I love D’Argo and it was so sad when he died. Of course it was after Chiana tells him that she wants to go with him. I got surprisingly emotional when he died and Chiana’s reaction really got to me. D’Argo’s heroic shooting scene was great but so sad. The birth. Oh my. “Shooting makes me feel better”. That line is so cool. I’m glad the birth scene was more realistic than most. I mean John cut the cord and everything. One of my favorite moments was Aeryn killing the Scarran Emperoress with her baby strapped to her. “It’s a boy, in case you were wondering”. Another great line. The crew getting rescued by Pilot and Moya was beautiful. The wormhole weapon sequence was frightening. I didn’t know for a minute if they were going to end it that way but that would just totally suck. It was a relief that they declared peace but then, oh no, Crichton is on the floor catatonic. Aeryn’s reaction was acted so well and again I was in tears. The last several moments of the mini series with John and Aeryn and the naming of their child was absolutely amazing. I cried when they looked out of the ship to the huge galaxy outside and said to their son, “this is your playground”. What and end.
See to me the mini series was like a movie. A really good movie. Now I need to watch the first 4 seasons on DVD. He he.
