Ravings of A Geek

First of all, I'm going to start off with this: ADAM LAMBERT'S NEW CD IS AMAZING!!!

Now that that's out of the way, on to the rest of the post.

I got in my new schoolwork today. Yay! I must admit, after a crappy junior year, senior year is going to be a breeze. At least, that's my preliminary report after flipping through some of the new books and tests. Once I get started, I might be whistling a whole other tune. But- I'm trying to stay positive here- I'm pretty sure I can get finished with this in half the time it took me to finish last year's.

For one, I'm not taking a math this year. I knew doubling up last year would pay off. It was so nice to open up that big box and not have to fish out a huge hulking math book. I so do hate math.

My book reports are ridiculously easy, too. My two books for this year: The Pilgrim's Progress and The Odyssey. I first read Homer in fourth grade. We spent an entire semester on it in ninth grade. I knew my childhood love of Greek mythology would help me out later in life. :)

Probably the hardest thing this year is going to be the Latin. But I need to learn it, if I'm going to be an religious archaeologist. Plus, really, shouldn't everyone know at least one ancient dead language? ;)

Is it totally geeky that I'm really excited about new books? It is? I thought so...
