I am home from work today because Paige is sick and now she is napping. I don't really know what to do with myself on a Friday afternoon.
Everything has been going fairly smoothly recently. I will be THRILLED when 2008 is over and done with, but things have been looking up. I also love this time of year, so it always puts me in a good mood. Paige will be three in January already and I am planning a spectacular "Under the Sea" themed birthday party because she loves The Little Mermaid. It will be glorious. Bob's birthday is next week, but he is celebrating it at Burkes of Ireland tomorrow evening. My birthday is December 5th and we will be having an awesomely tacky 80s themed birthday party on Saturday, December 6th that I am super excited about. I decided to just have a huge crazy party since I have done that since... well, since I wasn't allowed to do that. Everyone is invited, but must RSVP. Ashley will be sending out myspace invites.
My job has been going fine, nothing too much to report there. Bob's job is going well and he just got a promotion, so that is exciting. Paige has been doing amazing. I had been worried about her not talking too much for so long but she is progressing by leaps and bounds. Every day she seems just a little bit older. It is scary. She is finally (slowly) getting out of the terrible two phase and turning into a sweet and silly little girl.
We adopted a dog a few months ago and tried as hard as we possibly could, but we definitely picked the wrong dog. She needed entirely more attention that we can possibly give right now. I feel so terrible about it, but we brought her back to Animal Services. If anyone wants to adopt a seemingly untrainable puppy that needs TONS of exercise, you can go to their website and she is #6330840. It says she is a greyhound mix, but she's actually a 6 month old chocolate lab/vizsla mix. Go adopt her!!!
Bob got me the new Nikon Coolpix S60 touch screen camera for my birthday. I love it so far. We normally don't get each other expensive gifts, but I am not complaining. I went out to get groceries last night and brought him back the iPod Touch for his birthday and he reacted like a little school girl.
We are planning on trying to coordinate this annual pre-Thanksgiving get-together that we always have the evening before Thanksgiving. Let me know if you're interested.
I say that I don't know what to do with myself on a Friday afternoon, but I know there's a million things I could be doing... so that is what I will attempt to do. I would also say that I will try to update this more... but as I type this I feel like it is incredibly boring to just give you a rundown of my life, so we shall see!
