For the most part, things have been going great.
In no apparent order whatsoever:
+ Been working for Fire Rescue for about seven months now and I actually enjoy my job.
+ Bob still has his job at the plant which he is actually very lucky for.
+ We like Paige's new preschool.
+ We have a new house that we love and plan on staying here until we leave the area or buy a house.
+ Paula made it home safely from Iraq! We had a crazy party that involved a lot of shots, a lot of ice everywhere, the Veteran's Association presenting Paula with an awesome gift basket, and a huge hole in my kitchen wall (which is now fixed thanks to Jon).
+ Amanda and Sean had their beautiful little baby boy, Jonas, a few months ago.
+ We had a little Orlando getaway with an awesome group of people and got right up front for Say Anything and met Max Bemis after the show.
+ Bob and I have never been better. Now if we could just find time to plan our wedding things would be glorious.
+ Paige is two and she knows it. Other than the tantrums, being a mom of a two year old is a pretty rewarding thing.
+ I thought of the best idea for Bob's birthday and I must start planning now!
+ We are on the hunt for a shiba inu puppy.
+ We are taking a little roadtrip to Atlanta soon.
+ I have acquired a new attitude on life in the past few months in a serious way. I'm not sure what happened, but I think it's a good thing.
On the down side...
- Captain Jack ran away. When I say ran away, I don't mean that he got hit by a car or something ate him in the woods. I mean that I'm sure a nice family adopted him and loves him and spoils him and he is living the good life right now. Right.
- Graylon leaves for Iraq in October.
- Some people don't like me anymore. Bummer man.
Other than that... not much has been going on. It's a nice change, but I feel so content in my relationship, as a mother, and with my core group of friends than I ever have. Hopefully it lasts.
Oh and Alkaline Trio on July 19th. Yay!
I think that I may go nap with Paige. I hope everyone else that lurks is doing well.
