Texas birth certificates
Have any of you gotten a certified copy of a Texas birth certificate? I ordered 2 copies for Araceli and the letter that came with them says "enclosed is a certified copy of the record as presently on file in our office with the official "raised" State of Texas seal". I'm not sure why they put raised in quotes, but there does not seem to be any raised seal.
I just went and got a copy of Trinity and Drake's from the CA office and there is an actual embossed circle that says "Clerk-Recorder of San Mateo County - California". I expected to see the same thing on the TX certificate but of course they have to make it difficult.
Any input?
