[ Ooc : I'm just throwin' Kimberly out there if anyone wants to kidnap her or something. Lol. ]
Slender digits slammed themselves against the snooze bar from that persistent and irritating alarm clock. That was probably the third or forth time she'd hit it, and she still had no intention to listen to it. Even though she'd gained about an extra hour of sleep, she felt even more lethargic than from her original wake up call at 6:30 am. Now the clock read 7:30, and when her azure eyes finally adjusted themselves to the current time, the teenage daughter of Jack and Teri Bauer launched herself into high gear, getting ready for the day ahead.
Muttering plenty of obscenities beneath her breath she fumbled through her draws of clothes, and miraculously pulled out something that matched. She continued to hustle against time that she no longer had, to complete the morning routine, of fixing her hair, brushing her teeth and finding something editable to eat.
Not to long later a final morsel of burnt toast was popped into her mouth, as she mentally scratched off the checklist of appropriate books and assignments she'd need for the day. Other high school thoughts intersected through like, [ why didn't Janet call and wake her up .. maybe that cute guy in Algebra would talk to her again .. if her Father would come back home. ] That last thought was probably the least likely to happen. A school bag was then lunged over her shoulder, and left her to sprint to the door. Rushing in that direction she carelessly crashed into a pile of packed suit cases near the door. Knocking the stack to the floor, she muttered another curse word and preceded to pick them up - until a muffled sobbing noise caught her ear.
No doubt it was mother, crying herself to sleep again - or crying herself awake. Then it finally clicked that these bags were probably her Fathers, and no doubt curiosity of her Mother packing them. Well, that answered her pervious question. She tossed it to the floor, and shoved the bags aside. " It's her own fault anyway. " Muttering this to herself she exited the house, slamming the door as a farewell behind her.
Santa Monica always seemed farther away when she had to get there by foot. Oh well, must have been her punishment for waking up so late. At this point, she'd be lucky to make it there by 3rd period. She remembered when her Father would drive her to school. She never thought she'd miss that. Especially the extra half hour of sleep she'd gain by not having to catch the bus. This all made her unconsciously smile. Then she snapped back to reality, and that scowl returned to her face. A rather frequent look lately. Thanks to her Mother none of that was possible anymore. " I hope your happy. " She spoke this a loud, as if her Mother was standing two feet in front of her.
Realizing by the scenery she wasn't even a quarter of her way near school, she stopped dead in her tracks. What was the point of going to school anyway? S'not like either of her parents would really give a damn. She could just as easily hang out at the mall all day, or stroll the streets of LA. No one would know, no one would probably even care. She juggled the opinions in her head heavily weighting them towards a good day and night out on the town.
