Finished reading the Laurell K. Hamilton book today (the title is Skin Trade, which has absolutely nothing to do with the content of the book) and was very pleased with it. There were two sex scenes, but 1) they didn't take up a large percentage of the book and 2) they weren't as over-the-top as much of her stuff in the last several books has been, so I was tolerant of them. I think it would be too much to ask for an Anita Blake book with no sex scenes. Hamilton clearly loves to write them, no matter how bad she is at it.

Also did loads of laundry. Literally and figuratively.

Cobweb isn't looking so good. She doesn't seem to be responding to the Leukeran we've been giving her, though the vet said we should see an effect right away. Shannon's online research indicates that the drug might actually take a while to become effective, to which he responded, "I don't know how long she has." She continues to seem energetic, social, and extremely interested in food. She's developed a real obsession with people food. She was seriously eyeing my mac-n-cheese at dinner tonight, and I just can't imagine how that might be attractive to a cat.

We've been watching "Torchwood: Children of Earth" the past few days and I've really been enjoying it. Does anyone else watch "Torchwood"?
