Late Night / Early Morning Random Ramble
I love the sound of Cobweb snoring in the papasan chair. Something about it is just so soothing. Interesting how the sound of Shannon snoring in the bed isn't nearly as sweet.
Tonight the hubby and I watched an episode of "South Park" that was recorded on the TiVo, and it made me laugh so hard I probably woke our neighbors. It was a twist on the old cartoon "The Super Friends", with Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Lao Tzu, Krishna, Joseph Smith, and Sea Man (with his side-kick, "Swallow", *snicker*) as "The Super Best Friends".
What kept making me laugh so hard was how everyone kept exclaiming, "Jesus!" all the time, including Jesus himself, at one point, when something shocked him and he exclaimed, "Jesus Christ!" Hee! Plus, Jesus used his incredible powers of carpentry at one point. Hee! I should really watch South Park more often, because the irreverent sense of humor really cracks me up.
Shannon and I have taken to adding "bitch!" onto all of our mind-readings of the cats. When Cobweb looks at Shannon sitting in the papasan, Shannon will speculate that she is thinking, "Get out of my chair ... BITCH!" When Munchkin stares at me because I'm all wadded up on the couch and am not making a proper lap, one of us will theorize that she's thinking, "Move your legs ... BITCH!" When Shannon opens a can in the kitchen and the cats come to watch him, one of us will usually say something like, "Give me tuna ... BITCH!"
For some reason, this whole "bitch!" thing cracks us up almost every time. We can crack each other up fairly reliably by just adding "bitch!" onto the end of almost any sentence, whether it concerns the cats or not.
Yeah, we're mature.
Oh, speaking of things that crack me up, we recently watched "Men In Black II", and in my opinion, it contained only one truly hilarious moment: Every time I even think about the alien dog barking along with that "Who Let The Dogs Out" song, I giggle. That was great. I thought the rest of the movie was mediocre. Shannon enjoyed the evil woman's breasts, though, despite their smallness. He's an equal opportunity breast man.
