Headaches
Terrible headaches the past 3 days or so, pretty much from when I wake up in the morning to when I go to bed at night.
When the headaches have been at their worst, I've been coloring while listening to familiar audio books or podfics (familiar ones because it's difficult to think much during the pain), because the combined distractions usually worked. Lately, not so much. I've been listening to some new podfics, even if it means I sometimes don't really catch everything.
I've also started experimenting a bit with the coloring, working on the inside and outside of the front and back cover, which are made of brown "kraft paper." Coloring on the kraft paper is very different, requiring a completely different approach to ink/pencil color and opacity. I'm using a lot of white, for example. Because it is so different, it is more distracting, which is why I've been doing it. The headache still sneaks through, but not quite as viciously. I like a bit of adventure in my art, even when I'm just coloring, and so it helps.
I'll try to remember to post some photos tomorrow.
Despite today's headache, I got all gussied up to go on an afternoon date with Shannon. He got a bit gussied up, too. It's nice to turn an ordinary afternoon into a romantic date through attitude alone.
This particular date involved some less romantic stops (to get Shannon's hair cut & for me to drop off a Rx at Walgreens), but the datey part was our visit to Ben & Jerry's, our most frequent casual date destination.
As on all of our dates, I dressed with Shannon's proclivities in mind, and therefore wore a "booby dress" (i.e., low-cut) with a "booby bra" (i.e., the kind that pushes the girls up and together). Combining a "booby bra" with a "booby top" (dress, blouse, anything with a neckline) always creates rather impressive results, and today was no exception. It was a nice date, despite my uncooperative head.
