(no subject)
Went to dinner last night at the Saturn Cafe with Jay, Lois, Katherine, and Mimi to celebrate Jay's 42nd b-day. It was great to see everyone! It's amazing to me that I've now been friends with Katherine and Jay for almost 2 *decades*! Of course, they've known each other even longer.
And we had the coolest waiter ever. When I told him I drink a lot of water, he brought us a pitcher full ... and then stuck a straw in it. Ha!
Today I helped Shannon out with some postal stuff he had going on (sending out 4 big boxes of stuff he sold on eBay) and slept and slept. It was a lovely day to go out walking/biking, as the sky was blue and cloudless and the temps were just slightly chilly. The leaves have all been changing lately, and the trees are a mosaic of red and gold. It's my favorite time of year.
I have this week's episode of "The Vampire Diaries" stored on the DVR, but I keep thinking, "No, I'm too sleepy to watch it now. I want to watch it when I will get *maximum* enjoyment out of it. Maybe tomorrow." I do the same thing with expensive cookies and other such delicacies. Sometimes stuff goes bad, because I wait too long to find the absolute optimal moment to enjoy my treat. A tendency I'm working on.
