I can't find words for how happy I am, reading these last two chapters. AMAZING. Chapter 6 was the hottest one yet (and probably the BEST thing about coming home after my long absence is that I finally got to read it!) - and then, Chapter 7! Another piece of Sansa's letter, and I feel like I'm melting. Bubug's illustration for Sansa's drawing - and the ribbon. . .! Oh, my heart! Oh, Sandor's heart! The wonderful thing about the epistolary style is that, more than ever, I feel like I can feel what Sandor is feeling, and I understand how Sansa must feel reading his letters because - in a way - it feels as though he's writing to me, too. . . which, of course, I love.

I am tripping over my own words writing this comment, but all I really mean to say is, I love this story. SO MUCH. And every time a new chapter goes up or I see a new illustration, my heart pounds as though a love-letter has just arrived at my door.

But - I'm surprised reading the comments, because it seems as though no one has asked the obvious question! Will. . . will we get to see Sandor's drawing, too??

Hooray! I was hoping to see your review!

"Chapter 6 was the hottest one yet "
Phew! I wrung my hands over Chapter 6. It was difficult to get the right balance. It was suppose to be funny of course, but still sexy! As if your horny long distance boyfriend was chatting you up and sending you dick pics and you're laughing but also blushing and turned on.

"Oh, my heart! Oh, Sandor's heart!"
I wanted the juxtaposition of Sandor's crudity and Sansa's refinement, hence the dick pic and Sansa's beautifully intimate sketch of herself and their dog. And from a characterization perspective, I think Sansa's understated sensuality is what would get him really hot rather than explicit language.

"I understand how Sansa must feel reading his letters because - in a way - it feels as though he's writing to me, too."

Yes, that's what I love about this exercise. It started as a writing exchange from SansaxSandor: http://sansaxsandor.livejournal.com/tag/raven%20mail%20exchange

I love the idea that my readers are Sansa, waiting anxiously at home as your sort of boyfriend goes off to war.

"Will. . . will we get to see Sandor's drawing, too??"
Bubug and I discussed that! But its just a tracing, I don't think there would be much to illustrate beyond a piece of parchment with an outline of a cylindrical object. I was afraid it would come off as a joke that falls flat. You'll just have to imagine the grandeur of Sandor's cock ;)
