Well, when I started writing this story, I found angst to be compelling source of inspiration. But that was back in March.

Now, I find being in Sandor's head a rather a funny space, which is why he finds Arya's ire silly, uses words like ahem, cuntlapping (I was chuckling hard while I was writing that) and why I ended the scene with "A distant part of him thought it was all shit."

This is the man that named his horse Stranger. Which is now less badass to me, than some endearingly emo posturing - as if he was a teenager who named his black muscle car 'Satan' (Jaime says that men seldom named their horses because of how often they died).

And then while a captive at the mercy of Lord Beric, he joked that they should knight his horse because his horse doesn't shit in the Red Keep. Even in stressful situations he likes to crack jokes, so I imagine in his head, he's making fun of the experience even while he participates in it with sincerity.

humor and erotics aren't too bad a combination anyway.
More humor in the last part :)

Thanks for reading and commenting sweetling!

lol, I don't mean to imply he would listen to Fall Out Boy. Just that calling your horse Stranger is strikes me now as melodramatic and makes me titter. My husband is a metalhead and writes metal music (I'm not a fan of this genre). A lot of his poetic imagery about grey worms eating us and on the hills you'll hear my roar just makes me smile indulgently.
