1. It's already Friday and tomorrow is a birthday I've been dreading my whole life. 'Nuf said. But a dozen roses just arrived and they're gorgeous! I better have my heart-shaped box of chocolates at the ready so I can drown my sorrows, but . . . no worries, my darling hubby never forgets.

It is stinking SLIGHTLY less - ha, ha!!!

Except - it's set in a mummy workshop and back in ancient Egypt they had no air conditioning so it smelled BAD.

Some chapters take a week to revise. Others take less than a day. Go easy on yourself.

Thank you, Kelly, for that reminder. I needed that. Yesterday I got Chapter Two done. All in one day! Yay!

Is it your birthday that you're dreading, or somebody else's?

Consider it a hard chapter... I'm sure the ones you work on next week will go much faster.

Oh, it's *my* birthday. And it's one of those big ugly milestone ones we don't want to talk about . . . Sssh, it's a secret! On a happier note though, my brand new grandson is often mistaken for MY child which always makes me feel good. ;-D

It's Chapter One and first chapters are always tough. I added some new tension and suspense and foreshadowing and added a new scene, too. I did get Chapter Two done yesterday all in one day. But I got some uninterrupted writing time and that made a HUGE difference!
