Kristin has left for the AI Behind the Scenes Mall Tour (links below), so now we don't have the distraction of a non-contestant in the house. It was kind of hard because we all have been working on our performances, plus all kinds of interviews, appearances, etc, that she wasn't a part of. It would've been hard with anyone (so Kristin, don't get all riled up).
www.realitytvworld.comwww.orlandofloridaguide.com According to some sources, this week's judge will be Billy Joel. But according to other sources, he'll be playing in some place like Cleveland that day. So don't trust everything you read -- but you all already knew that ;)
I was actually able to watch The Pulse (on tape, after it aired) last night. It was hard to see Rickey's exit interview, and the clip with Vanessa. The segment on
wanda_sykes was great -- I didn't know she wrote so much material! I know a lot of comedy is in the delivery, but I really admire the folks who can come up with the ideas. In the segment, Wanda talked about how she liked making people laugh, helping them feel good. In a big way, that's a lot of what I love about singing. Not making people laugh (you in the peanut gallery can keep those comments to yourself), but making people feel good. I've gotten some touching letters from fans and compliments from all kinds of people. I feel that singing can be as important a contribution to society as practicing law (I was applying to law schools when AI auditions came along), just in a different way. Certainly both are necessary parts of life.
Jack Nicholson's new movie Anger Management comes out today. I hope I'll have time to go see it sometime this week; I could use the laughs and Nicholson fix ;) I loved About Schmidt, but this week I'm in the mood for something lighter.
