good weekend/annoying weekend. . . . . mostly good

Friday Melissa and I finished up Mallika's head of twists. YEAH!!

Saturday and Sunday was errands errands errands. Christine was down from Rohnert Park on Saturday (partially to pick my ass up) so we went by the M.o.E. storage to figure out what we'd need to take to BM. We pulled some small things out to pack at home and rearranged part of the space for more efficient packing the day we leave. Picked up our tickets at Distractions. Went through our list to see what I had of my stuff at home for our camp kitchen. Since we're a small camp we don't need anything duplicated. How much crap do 5-6 people REALLY need in the kitchen? THEN we headed to Rohnert Park to run errands up there and work on the art car Saturday night and Sunday.

Now here's where it's that fine line of good/bad (annoying). A while back, Christine and I volunteered to DECORATE her neighbors art car. What we end doing this weekend is building a frame for part of the body for the mutation to take place.

On one hand it's pretty fucking cool to have a big machine shop at your disposal. We're talking BIG shop, lots of toys. . . oooh. . . .aaahhhh. . .sweet 1967 Camero up on the rack . .drool drool. . . . . power tools galore and you can make all the noise you want REALLY late. We learned to use some of these tools and equipment. Even learned the fine art of dismantling 5 part leaf springs to use 1 leaf on the golf cart for added suspension. We learned how to take apart and put back together said golf cart suspension. When all else fails use excessive force. . . and a bigger hammer.

On the other hand we volunteered to DECORATE . . . . . that's what we KNOW how to do. . . . . given we both have other things to do, it's annoying to have to construct something especially since we don't know what were doing and it's super close to BM. . . we're this two months ago, we'd wouldn't be annoyed. . . .

Next weekend is decorate damn it!!!

One item off my list of stuff to purchase:

I bought a bike!! It's just a cruiser, but if I really get inspired to bike around SF instead of walking, I'll invest in a more appropriate and useful bike for city ventures.
