What are you waiting for?
a new beginning?
a new year?
a new day?
a new hour?
a new friend?
a new love?
a new memory?
a new time to laugh?
a new experiment?
a new fight?
a new program?
a new game?
a new season?
a new time?
a new life?
a new school?
a new song?
a new date?
a new bottle?
a new pill?
a new smoke?
a new morning?
a new outfit?
a new trend?
a new book?
a new movie?
a new morning?
a new weekend?
a new project?
a new taste?
a new life?
a new feeling?
a new reason?
Aren’t we all just waiting for the next step to take?
Waiting to wait more?
Some people wait on God.
OtherS wait on life to begin.
While some of us, just wait.
Till we no longer have to.
Because what we’ve wanted and yearned for,
What we desire the most is to stop waiting
And for
Life
To catch up.
I once saw in a movie an old man sitting on a bus bench
He was dressed in his best,
From head to toe,
He was there every time the main character passed by.
He didn’t know the bus had stopped running years ago
And expected it to be coming along any time now.
But it never did.
Until one day,
And like any good movie,
It came,
And the man was no longer waiting.
For no one likes to wait forever,
It’s tedious.
So why do we do it?
Why do we wait?
Why are we always waiting?
Cant we just deal with what we have at the present time?
What is this need inside of us,
to wait for things?
What are you waiting for?
I’m waiting on...
...experiences.
