I quit biolife. It was a bad fit and I didn't need to keep training if I didn't want to stick with it. I'm really disappointed but the job was described as being something VERY different than it turned out to be. SO disappointed! Jeez! I have however learned that I need to be more wary when a job comes my way.
I figure that biolife fudges on details to make the nature of the work sound more appealing. Also, I guess a great deal of people are okay with dull repetitive jobs.
I am taking nutrition at UAB this spring(meaning it starts tomorrow, woohoo!) I have realized lately that I am not going to be content with a career based on how much money I make (and will not stick with it for long!) I have been toying with the idea of being a nutritionist for a bit and think it would be really rewarding. Really I would be getting paid for something that I have been into for such a long time. So maybe taking this class will give me a ballpark idea of what may be in store.
I was inspired to look into bento when working at Biolife seeing how I had to start taking lunches to work. I really like cookingcute.com because it is informative and, of course, tres cute. I will have to get Ryan to teach me to make some of the bento lunch elements seeing how he's a sushi chef and I am very much not. Yay sushi boyfriend!
I have also been absorbed by jbox for hours upon end perusing EVERYTHING. I am thinking of purchasing a few issues of Kera magazine from the site; what's better than a Japanese punk, goth, loli fashion mag?
I just started reading on the Ghost in the Shell comic. It's super rad and as always has more detail than the movie; although the way it depicts action scenes is kind of hard to follow.
I have been reading The Thing on the Doorstep and Other Wierd Stories by H.P. Lovecraft but have put it on hold the past few days because it has been giving me really wicked nightmares! I still can't believe I had not read any Lovecraft until now! So good!
