i finished Timequake by Kurt Vonnegut yesterday. super funny. one of my fav funnies from the book was in reference to the use of "fuck" in literature during his writing days. it lead to the joke,"don't say fuck in front of the B-A-B-Y." gawd. it was set around a timequake which is a period of ten years when the universe shrank in upon itself and then decided to resume it's regular course. this caused everyone to have to relive the past ten years the exact same way they had previously. no free will. if i was a character in that book i would jump off a cliff right when free will kicked in again. teens and early twenties are NOT good things to relive. i'm much happier pretending they, for the most part, didn't happen.
i think brooks and i are broken up . . . i can't say i'm not feeling like a complete loser about it. i don't want to leave the house or have anything to do with anything masculine. only glitter and pink and my little ponies please!!! well, and maybe a few karmaloop and kidrobot splurges. that'll be a really good idea with my student loan payments starting up this month. whatever.
a bunch of people at work have started up a book club. who would've thought a few servers, a cook, and a dishwasher had such a treasure trove of books? i'm going to call it the seventh pit of hell book club until someone thinks up a better name.
