Grrr to the trumpet...

So I just had about the worst lesson of my life. Firstly, Roger was in a really really really bad mood which didn't help my situation out at all. Second, I had just come from playing sax in conducting class for an hour so I wasn't really in a "trumpet state of mind". These two factors did not mix well...

So I walk into Rogers studio, we start talking about random things, then he asks me what I thought about my performance in masterclass the other day. I told him that I thought I played pretty well, there were a couple of things I could work on, but overall I did a good job. He agreed but totally ruined the moment by going on into how the studio as a whole is not working hard enough to become really really good. He went on and on about it and made it seem like it was all my fault that everyone wasn't working hard enough. So after this extremely long lecture (about 35 mins) he expects me to play. Well after that I had totally lost my concentration and was on the verge of losing it. So I tried to play but kept messing up royally. Roger was not impressed and started to lecture me even more!!! Needless to say, Roger got to me and I cried....CRIED!!!! I couldn't take it anymore. It's NOT my fault if people aren't practicing, and the trumpet is NOT all that we have to do here. Sorry that Roger expects us to practice "a minimum of 2 hours a day". If there were 800 hours in a day then that would be possible but there is not...

I hate the trumpet and Roger right now!!!!

FUCK!!

Peace...
