Prom- Last weekend 16th
So this past weekend was crazy because I went to Prom with Doug Kettner in Freedom, WI. I left right after Crusade on Thursday and got home at about 12:30. The drive felt so long because I knew that every second I was getting further away from Chris and I already missed him so much. Now this (at least to me) sounds really pathetic! I have never felt this way before, I don't even know what it is but there is a piece of me that just lights up when I think about him and the fact that I have to be away from him even only for the weekend just seemed so impossible.
On Friday I ran errands around my home town (Menominee, MI), visited my Grandma, and spent time with my friend Melissa. It was a pretty good day but I did not get home until like 12ish and that was the first time I was able to call Chris. I had spent the entire day talking about him to everyone who would listen. That made me feel really dumb but I don't know what has come over me I guess it must be love.
Then I got up at 6 on Saturday to take a shower and pack my car and then I was on the road by 7 heading for Freedom from Menominee. Just before I hit Green Bay I realized that I forgot to stop for gas in town and my gauge was on E! So I went into "The G' Bizzel" (As Ryan Lowery says) and filled my tank. Can you believe these gas prices $2.23! And to think we complained about prices being high a year ago when they were about $1.75! O well there is nothing we can do about it and it will only get worse so we need to get used to it and carpool, walk, bike, or something else that saves gas!
Anyway off of that tangent I got to Doug's house at about 10:30ish and just talked and caught up on times for a little while. Then after I called Chris so he would know I got there alright Doug brought me to see the whole town. There were like 5 little businesses and a Church that shared its parking with the three bars. Nice little place. Then I had my hair appointment at 12 and that took an hour, fun, getting poked with bobby pins and hot curling rods, and then suffocated with hairspray. And after all that I had to pay them (lol jk)! Then we went to McDonalds for a fast lunch and then to Doug's place to relax. We (Greg(Doug's older brother), Doug, and I) watched Ocean's Twelve and then I called Chris again to see how he was doing and tell him I missed him (we are real sappy).
Anyway we went to the prom and it was a lot of fun they played country music and rap what a combination! The country part was really good. After the dance I got back in my car and drove home and slept a little and then drove back to Marquette. O yeah and I called Chris about 3 times during the drive.
