L - Libraries. As a child libraries were magical to me because I read voraciously. I think part of the reason I loved Milton, WI so much is because our house was just a block from the library! I'm doing OK. I haven't cried much during the day since Saturday, mostly because I've tried to avoid thinking or talking about it. I've found that at night I can't help but think about it and thus I cry a lot, so last night I fell asleep with the TV on to distract me. I think I'll do that from now on, at least for a while. Mostly I just feel sad.

I was 13 years old. It had been a year since my family had returned from vacation to find that our 3-year-old epileptic collie had died while we were gone. Even though I cried the most about losing her, I was the one ready soonest for another dog.
