I gotta catch a bus to go to work in a half hour.. I'd do anything to not go to Old Navy right now. AHHH

Anyway, the Dominican Republic was amazing and so eye opening. I feel different after going through the experience. We stayed at an Orphanage and our main task was to teach two 1st grade and two 5th grade classes a set of English words everyday, fruits, vegetables, body parts, sports. It was a lot of fun trying to speak Spanish and trying to communicate with the kids. The schools were.. different. The teachers were lucky to have chalk, some kids didn't have pencils. The teachers were allowed to hit the kids but it didn't seem to phase them, there are some really tough kids in the DR. The kids were so much fun, recess everyday was a blast, they'd jump on us, ask for pictures, buy us lollipops. It was a lot of fun. The area we stayed in, Monte Crisiti, is one of the poorest parts of the country. People lived in shacks, seriously what ever wood they could find, they made a house out of. Even thought it was so poor, I've never met such friendly people. We'd walk through the streets and everyone would want to say HOLA! and ask your name and want their picture taken.
The last day was our day off so we got to go to the beach and this market called DaJabon. DaJabon is on the boarder of Haiti and it's not a market where you can buy crafts, it's how some people survive..

I'm going to leave you on that cliff hanger, I have to go to work.
