Dream Occupation
What is my dream occupation? Well, I certainly didn’t go through all the time, trouble, and money to become a defense attorney on a passing whim.
The same could be said for becoming a mother. I had nine months to think about that one, though for me there was never a question of whether or not I would have him. And I certainly didn’t go through several hours of childbirth on a whim either.
But if I were doing neither of these things I always thought it would be fun to join the Peace Corps, to see other countries and help people better their lives. I suppose that is part of the reason why I became a defense attorney though; to help wrongly accused people get their lives back, or to at least help people who might be wrongly accused prove that they are innocent. I know that some of them are guilty but… well, this isn’t about the ethics that come with being a lawyer. Thank God for that.
