I survived telling Trick he's going to be an uncle. Honestly, he took the news a lot better than I expected. Only needed a few shots of whiskey and he actually seems happy for me. Heck, happy for me and Jack. Maybe it was because it's a baby and he knows he has time to get to used it. If it had been a wedding or worse we eloped? Yeah, probably ( Read more... )

What about your grandfather? Wouldn't he want to see you get married?

*smiles ruefully*

I reckon he would. Unless you decide for it to be just us here. I can fly him wherever we decide.

Let's do it, Jack. Let's fly your grandfather and my parents up and get married here.

*looks excited*

Right here in the back yard. It's beautiful and there is plenty of room for them to stay here. Trick can serve as best person. It would be perfect.

*laughs*

Okay, we're doing it. I'll call Grandfather in the morning, you can call your parents. I'll get the tickets together.

*thoughful*

I wanna call Maddy. I reckon she's the closest thing I have to an actual friend. I'd like her to be here. If she could make it.

*smiles at her*

Anything else you'd like?

My God, Jackson, you're like the prince on the white horse that I used to read about when I was a little girl. You just make my dreams come true.

*beams a smile at him*

I have the number to Maddy's place stored in my palm pilot. I'd love to have her here.

Married in Ireland.

Do we still want to wait on telling everyone about the baby?

*reddens a little, smiles*

It nothing but a thing, darlin'. A couple plane tickets, unless you want your brothers here too, we already have use of the house. It'll give us some good stories to tell the Grandchildren.

*thoughtful*

Thats up to you. I reckon the elder Jackson will make that very assumption the old dog that he is.

I'd love for my brothers to be here, but that's a lot of plane tickets. You sure you don't mind?

*smiles*

I say we go ahead and tell them. My mom will take one look at me and know anyway.

You got how many brothers again? Four? It's up to you, sweetheart. Whatever you want just let me know, I'll do my best to make it happen. And well announce our other big news once they get here.

*kisses her*

Three brothers, though Daddy may insist on paying for all their tickets, actually. The idea we're inviting them and not just eloping. I'll check with him.

*smiles*

I can't believe we're going to do this.

It's no trouble Kim, paying for their tickets. I don't wana step on your Daddys toes or anything but if it comes down to being a trial cause of the short notice, it'd be an honor to pay for them to fly here.

*grins ruefully*

I can't believe you said yes.

I'll see what he says when I extend the invite. He has this wedding fund for me so maybe he'll use it. If not? I guarantee you it will become the spoil the grandchild fund.

*laughs*

How could I say no?

jack_morgann November 19 2004, 08:20:09 UTC
I do believe you did say no at first, or more so that if the timing was right, you might possibly say yes. Did nothing to boost a guys confidence in asking you. The you go and try to propose to me? You're lucky I didn't slink away, dejected, before I even asked you.

*wraps her arms around his neck*

I'm sorry. Does this mean you won't wear the ring I offered you as your engagement ring?

jack_morgann November 19 2004, 08:31:08 UTC
*laughs*

No! Cause it'd be acknowledging you tried to ask me first. That just ain't fitting.

*smiling*

Besides its your Grandmas ring, save it, pass it down to Paige Elizabeth when she's old enough.

*kisses her*

Deal.

Let's hit the phones and then maybe we can go in and break the news to Patrick. Though...maybe we should take him to a pub and get a few pints in him first.

*laughs*

The pub and many pints before breaking it to him is a sound plan.
