Summary: According to Hongbin, Hakyeon is insane….
[“Hongbin-ah, isn’t he handsome in that mysterious kind of way?”]“Hongbin-ah, isn’t he handsome in that mysterious kind of way?”Hakyeon whispers for the nth time sitting next to Hongbin at the library. “And do you remember the time he sang last week?, He’s an angel”. Hongbin sighs, and stares at Hakyeon’s crush sitting few tables ahead. Hakyeon continues to stare dreamily, his books long forgotten on the table.
“Hyung, don’t you have to pick Sanghyuk today?” Hongbin reminds Hakyeon wishing his hyung would leave his dream land. “shit, what time is it?” Hakyeon panics at the mention of his baby brother. Hongbin watches as Hakyeon clumsily stuffs his books into his bag and leaves the library promising to meet him tomorrow. Hongbin doesn’t miss how Hakyeon’s mysterious crush glances at his hyung with a rare smile on his face. “Maybe Hakyeon hyung’s dream will come true” Hongbin thinks to himself.

“His name is Taekwoon” Hakyeon exclaims as soon as Hongbin plops down next to him next day at the library. Hongbin follows Hakyeon’s gaze and sees the mentioned figure burying himself in a book. Hongbin sighs, “hyung, maybe you should do something rather than being a stalker, Maybe he likes you as well”. Hongbin says remembering how Taekwoon glanced at his hyung yesterday.
“What? You think so?” Hakyeon’s face lightens up as he exclaims quite excitedly. Hongbin sees the librarian sending them a pointed glare. “Hyung, you are desperate.” Hongin whispers to Hakyeon motioning him to keep his voice down. “ but, Hongbin-ah, how am I gonna make him mine?” Hakyeon continues to blabber , drowning in his own thoughts.
The next minute, they both are thrown out of the library by a very angry librarian.
Hongbin fixes his backpack on one shoulder and drags hakyeon to the nearest bench thinking that maybe he should help his hyung to straighten things out.
“Hyung, I think you should confess to him” the younger man exclaims thoughtfully while tapping his chin. “You’ve got to make a move first of just forget about him”.
Hakyeon’s eyes widen at this, “what? He’s not someone I can forget that easily, He stole my heart from the moment he sang at Jaehwan’s party”.
“Then confess to him today, or I’m going to tell him” Hongbin sends his hyung a pointed glare successfully conveying that indeed, he means business. Hakyeon sighs, “ok, What should I do?”.
“There’s still half an hour till the library closes, wait for him to come out and then tell him that you like him. Simple as that.” The younger guy advices his hyung hoping that everything goes well. “What if he doesn’t like me back?” Hakyeon chickens out again.
“don’t worry, I’m sure he likes you back.”
Another 15 minutes go by as Hakyeon freaks out and Hongbin figures out that it’s his first time seeing his friend this nervous.
“He’s coming” Hakyeon pinches Hongbin as he breaks into cold sweat. “Man up and go hyung. Fighting!” Hongbin encourages Hakyeon while pushing him slightly. Hongbin watches as Hakyeon goes to Taekwoon and stands in front of stands in front of his not-so-secret crush.
“Hi, I’m Hakyeon! You are Taekwoon right?” Taekwoon nods his head as a light pink invades his cheeks. “Maybe you haven’t seen before” Hakyeon continues while fidgeting, “but I saw you singing at Jaehwan’s party last week and I’ve been in love with you ever since. Your voice is like,” Taekwoon blushes like a ripe tomato and hides his face and walks away before Hakyeon gets to finish his words. Hakyeon freezes on the spot as Hongbin rushes to his hyung asking what happened.
“Hongbin-ah he might hate me to run away like that?” Hakyeon freaks out as he buries his face in Hongbin’s shoulder. “I’m such a fool”.The next day Hongbin plops down at an empty table at the library noticing that both Hakyeon and Taekwoon are nowhere to be seen.
Five days later Hakyeon still refuses to go to the library claiming that he does not have the courage to face Taekwoon after that incident. Hongbin sits down at an empty table for the sixth consecutive day and sees that Taekwoon is there at his usual table and catches the disappointed look on Taekwoon’s face.
The next day Hongbin drags Hakyeon to the library claiming that one day, Hakyeon would have to face Taekwoon no matter what. Taekwoon’s face lightens up as he sees Hakyeon is there with Hongbin but his face falls, when he notices that Hakyeon isn’t his usual cheerful self.
Hongbin and Hakyeon sit at there usual table and Hongbin suffocates from the tension that seemed to have evolved between his friend and his crush. Several hours pass by as Hakyeon refuses to lift his head from his book and Hongbin catches Taekwoon stealing glances at his hyung. Hongbin watches as Taekwoon packs his bag and leaves on single book on the table while stealing glances at Hakyeon. Then he sends a pointed glare at Hongbin then at the book signaling that it’s for Hakyeon.
Hongbin nudges Hakyeon as Taekwoon leaves the library. Hakyeon buries his face on the table. “I thought I was going to die from all the suspense.”
“Hyung, I think he wants to you that book” Hongbin whispers to Hakyeon as he points to the book, which Teakwoon left on his table. Hakyeon stares at Hongbin and then the book for a while, nevertheless picks up the book and sits in his own chair again. Hakyeon opens the book only to find that there’s a note inside the book.
“Dear Hakyeon,
I’m really sorry about what happened that day. I have a shy personality from the day i was born. So, when I get a complement I get embarrassed quite easily . That day when you said that you fell in love with me because of my singing, I felt embarrassed. That’s why I ran away like a coward. Please don’t misunderstand. I have to admit that I’ve been mesmerized by you as well from the moment that you danced at the competition wearing a blindfold last year. And I found myself liking you more because of your cheerful personality. I never had the courage to talk to you and I’m ashamed of it. But now I’m going to admit that I like you. So if you want to give us a chance meet me at the college entrance at 5:30 m. I’ll be waiting.
