(no subject)
So I'm going home. Finally going home... for two weeks, in which I am
spending money like an asshole but taking in as much culture and beauty as
I can before heading back up to Vassar and trying to finish up the semster
on a high note. (this is my version of rejunivating myself).
I am seeing shows. Many of them. It is a shitload of money but my parents
are offering to help me pay for some of it. Yeah, mom and dad!!
March 11 (Friday) - Boston Sym. Orechestra
March 13 (Sunday) - Boston Ballet (La Sylphide)
March 17 (Thursday) - Cirque Dreams (Not Cirque du Soleil, but close
enough -- center pit, 6 rows away from stage)
March 18 (Friday) - Falling Angels (modern dance)
How expensive was it? Well, I got a double deal for La Sylphide and
Falling Angels (bought both tickets for the price of 1), and got a student
discount for the BSO. It was Cirque Dreams that killed me (but not as much
as you would think!). I'm excited. Okay, its not as good as going to
Greece for free (fucking Vassar's soccer team), Japan or Russia (I was a
bit late on the ball to sign up for those trips), but I think I'll deal
just fine. :-D
rugby is going a-okay. I miss being on a sports team like an ache in my
side. Now I just have work..lots of work to do. (I think I'm pulling an
all-nighter tonight. Pray for me!)
