Work was fun. Yea, so I was a standby but I had to work anyway. So there I was .. and Seb calls out, "Kimarlee? Kim? Kimarlee?" So I jump over to him and he goes, "Get out of my tent -- you're not working today." I was terrified but then Seb goes, "You're watching the show!!!" He gives me a ticket to Seat 1 and 2 (a girl from Concessions, Lily got to see the show too,) Section 203, Row M. Those are some crazy seats! I truly believe there's no bad seat in the Grand Chapiteau. What a day!
Also.. intresting people I meet while working the intermission and end of show.
1) A La Nouba artist - I didn't catch her name, but she was Russian and totally into Varekai. She work a Cirque jean jacket and talked about how she couldn't wait to see Varekai.
2) An eldry woman - She and I talked about Cirque for a good while and then she tried to tip me 20 bucks! She was in tears after the show, saying how much Dergin made her cry, knowing that he was handicapped and still could be an artist. She was such a sweetheart.
3) A handicapped kid - he came up to me and asked if Dergin was handicapped. I said yes and then he goes, "Well, I'm going to join Cirque too, and be just like him!" I was on the verge of tears when he said that. Such a good kid!
4) A French-Canadian - who knew almost everything about every Cirque show. I think I saw him before, but I don't know where. He was absolutly delighted to find out I loved Cirque too, demanded that I accept his tip and when I didn't, he went up to Seb and talked to him about me. :-D
Good times.
