Being famous

Oct 28, 2006 14:15

A thought my sister shared with me the other day: Out of 6 billion people on earth, is it enough if only a handful of people know about you?

My thoughts throughout the day as I thought about it.

* If I were to be famous, what would i want to be known for?
* Do I want to be remembered for generations or do I want to be famous during my lifetime?
* What or how does one feel about being famous forever and not during lifetime? What if that happens to me? Does it matter?
* Has fame become a measure of success today?
* Why does one think of fame?
* When we do achieve something great, do we want to publish ourselves?
* Does it come from pride?
* Are there times we don't want to be famous?
* Are famous people happy about being so?
* Or maybe we want to be famous, but also want our privacy. So how much or how far are we willing to reveal ourselves to public?
* Are there people who don't want to be famous? Why?
* Did advancement of technology make it easier for one to become famous? Or did it make it all the more harder?
* How does one become famous? Does it just happen by accident?
* How much or how far is it worth for someone to strive to achieve fame?
* Myspace, facebook, hi5 --- ways to come out of one's small circle?
* www.iwannabefamous.com
* Do we need to have some qualities to become famous? If so, what are they? If not, why not?
* Is it ok to be famous for something bad?
* Can the need to become known, lead you to doing something bad?
* Can meeting or being with someone famous, make you famous?
