Hi,
How have you been? Long time no talk, huh? Sorry I have been a little absent. I have had a roller coaster healing process.
As you probably already know, I had my surgery on July 3rd. It went fine, just as planned. However, the healing time was supposed to be 1-2 weeks. We are on 3.5 weeks and still hurting. It is progressive though. Today is not as bad as yesterday (usually).
I have been doing a lot of work for church lately. I realized, at least in part, I volunteer for the praise of others, for the accolades. I have realized that my self worth is terrible and I do not get a lot of recognition from other places. Therefore, when I get a "good job" or a simple "thanks", I glow. I would say, 90% of my work in ministries is driven by the wonderful feeling I get internally, from the Holy Spirit. However, that other ten percent needs some work. On the flip side, I have made some really wonderful friends. I am not sure what I would do with out Dawn. She is me in 25 years! We are so much alike it is kind of scary.
Other than that, I am just ready to go back to work and be totally healed.
So, what have you been up to? I miss hearing from you. Hopefully you miss me even a fraction of how much I miss you. :) Please update me when you get a chance.
