Goodbye, August, we barely knew ye...

Aug 30, 2012 15:27

So. Yeah. August in a nutshell:
  • My ex doesn't want to pay child support, but he wants me to continue paying for absolutely everything Mike needs/wants.

  • The drama queen in my office has been the drama queeniest drama queen in the history of drama. More about that later.

  • Mike had his appendix out last week. I was too sleep deprived to do more than Facebook it. Sorry.

  • My bank decided to pay my mortgage even though there was no money in my account. I thankfully talked them out of an overdraft fee but I have to get the money in the bank today. As per my life, my boss hasn't been here all day to sign payroll.

Back to Drama Queen (way less fun than Dancing Queen). She may not be a problem much longer. She's been coming in 30-45 minutes late every day for over a month. When I tried to talk to her about it, she pointed out how she didn't have a mortgage or a car payment and she does have a husband to support her so unlike "some people" she doesn't have to have a job. Yes, it was all I could do not to tell her not to let the door smack her in the ass on her way out.

DQ has been sabotaging one of the project manager's material orders, misfiling things, refusing to file things, telling anyone who asks her to do anything what is and isn't her job, being combative with suppliers, blaming others for her obvious mistakes, running Pandora all day and using videos for her screen saver then bitching when her computer blue screens, and the list goes on and on. I really and truly think the boss is finally going to fire her. Honestly, if he doesn't I will lose all respect for him.

Calling her DQ makes me want ice cream.

My Jakey Snake is going to take his driving test tomorrow. Once passed, he plans to drive his car eighty miles through the remnants of a hurricane by himself as his first alone driving experience. I'm so stoked about this (no, I'm not).

All I'm going to say about politics is PLEASE GOD MAKE IT ALL STOP!! I'm wanting this election over pretty damn bad right now. Also I'd appreciate it if all of Jake's teachers would stop filling his school days with Fox News talking points and teach the classes they were hired to teach. I am pretty proud of Jake though because he doesn't care that he's outnumbered when he calls out every single one of them and refuses to believe anything they can't back up with a non-partisan source. Proud of my little man (who's now 6'-2 and not so little). Fight the power!

I need a nap.

drama queen, work, random musings, politics, make it stop, nutshells
