The scene I keep seeing in my head is the heroine walking down the aisle toward the Alpha with the Beta best man at his side. The Alpha looks at her not smiling then looks at his best man also not smiling and meets her halfway down the aisle to walk her back out of the church and telling her to be happy with the other guy. I just don't know how to get them there.
Maybe she meets him when he saves her from some crazy scary scenario and they have a Florence Nightingale in reverse then the Alpha introduces her to his friend Beta who helps her plan the wedding while Alpha is off doing Alpha things.
I've had some inspiration from Runaway Bride and Dixie Chicks' A Home. The Alpha wants the Heroine to want to do Alpha things like run and climb things with him. He's got a female best friend who's Alpha too so he'll get a HEA too. It's still jumbled up.
