I've just seen a face

Okay, not really, but I've just seen a new author isn't a Beatles song.

I got a short erotica story from my new favorite site that was really good.

BREAKING NEWS! THIS JUST IN!

We interrupt this "gush about new author discovery" post to bring you the funniest thing I have ever read (that I remember):

And that's why you should learn to pick your battles

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming with Fantasy Island already in progress.

Now as I was saying - I read a short story at lunch that was really good. It was a free read from All Romance eBooks (the aforementioned new favorite site). Voirey Linger has a series called "The Mansion" and the short was a teaser for it. Aside from a few typos, it was excellent erotica. It was called "Pretend You Love Me" and it's about - well if I tell you, it won't be a surprise and that's part of the reason it's such a good read.

And I'm not just saying that because Voirey licked me in the author chat. She's awesome. You guys would love her and her books.

I am so jealous of her idea of her erotica stories taking place in a mansion that caters to the sexual fantasies of the patrons. It's like the setting is already set so all that's needed is an intro to the characters and what damaged part of their soul they need some special hawt sex to heal. It's like the Love Boat, but instead of Isaac being a bartender, he's dungeon master(not that the story I read has a dungeon or any BDSM for that matter). Next time I have real money, I'm all over more of these titles for Lucy (my Kindle).

As for me, I've written some. My vacation was not long enough. I didn't get everything done I wanted to, but I got a few things squared away. I wrote some, but I missed my deadline to submit my NaNo. It's still not done and I haven't been working on it so who knows if it'll ever get an ending. It has a really nifty cover though. I'll post it sometime.

I've been working on the story I started cruise before last (2009) oddly enough. I haven't added much new to it, but I took out a bunch of stuff that was making it hard to advance the plot (like the plot). I'm leaving the sex in so mom and the rest of my family will not be getting free copies. I still don't know how it's going to end. Oh well.

I also put more meat on the bones (not that kind of meat, you pervs) of Maggie's story (sequel to the book no one read). I'm thinking it's too much drama to start off with so I may have to shift stuff around a bit. This one is definitely more of a romance than Harry's story was. Yes, Harry got his happily ever after, but Maggie's story's goal is landing the prince. Harry's goal was stop being a douchenozzle and grow up. It's a totally different kind of writing all together. It's a totally different kind of writing.

If you didn't get the "Airplane" reference, stop reading now and get off my lawn, you damn kids.

Yes, it's that time of year again. I'm turning 27 for the 13th time next Wednesday. I'm embracing my inner curmudgeon instead of getting upset about it. *curmudgeon huggles* I went on a cruise in February so all I can afford is an all expense paid trip to work to celebrate, but there's a new Harry Potter to make it okay. I'm a little disappointed that they changed the homoerotic "Dumbledore & Harry get naked at a train station" scene to something a little more kid movie friendly, but I have a pretty good imagination. Shouldn't be too much of an issue.

And with that, I'm off to pretend to work some more. Later, my lovelies.
