Yeah I know....

...the person who made the icon put the apostrophe in the wrong place. I keep meaning to go and Photoshop it, but I keep forgetting.**

I thought I was going to sleep, but alas Apple and their uber needy software needed another update today. Why the fuck do they have to update every fifteen minutes? It can't be because of hackers because hackers only attack Microsoft products (so I've been told). I've married people less needy than iTunes. Attention whore? There's an app for that.

I came home to find two Marines in my dining room. One of them was not only a woman, she was allergic to cats and instead of asking for a tissue practically turned the sleeve of her dress uniform boogy green before I told Master Sergeant Pleasesignhereson to hang on while I hunted up a box of Kleenex. We'd already discussed my desire to outlive my offspring (he assured me that Marines are too well trained to get killed) so I felt I could leave Mike at the table unattended. He discussed how much faster Mike could get certified as a journeyman through the Corp's apprenticeship program and I discussed how hard it was to get a job right now with companies not having the high dollar work needed for them to shell out a higher rate of pay for a journeyman anything when they could get a kid out of high school who'd do it for a lot less.

Don't get me wrong - I think the military would be a great place for Mike after high school. I just have this fear of him getting his head blown off. It's a mom thing, muff cabbage. I told them Mike was only a junior and they beat a hasty retreat.

My fridge has magically fixed itself. I will be paying tribute to the Tree Gods by knocking wood about now. Please join me.

Listening to the classic rock station on Yahoo Radio. I've had a frightening night music wise. I think I may - I might - it's possible that IlikeLadyGaGa. I know, right?! I don't even think it's a full moon. I've also had a Weird Al marathon this eve. I blame too much work and not enough play.

Speaking of work - I wrestled Quickbooks into submission - or so I thought. I have to enter payroll for the year to date. The year. To date. That's ten & a half months. For each individual employee. Individual. I have ten calendar days before Peachtree Payroll stops working to get all the bugs out. Ten. Who's fucking bright idea was it to switch from Peachtree to Quickbooks?!? Oh yeah it was mine. Will be biting the bullet first thing in the morning.

If tonight is any indication, I'd be expecting progressively more bizarre posts and tweets from me until November 1 when NaNo starts then you'll be able to reach me via the looney bin. I think if I book early I can get a bed near the day room. I hope they have chocolate pudding.

**Edit:Icon fixed! Go me!
