I think I used up all my brain juice yesterday

Yesterday's ethical dilemma has sapped my energy allotment for the week I think.

I fell asleep during Castle and didn't set my alarm.

I woke up at 830 this morning which isn't that unusual if I still lived in the trailer, but the new house? Both bathrooms sit back to back so the boys have to slam the door to theirs while they get ready (because they're boys and boys HAVE to slam doors). That always wakes me up, but not today.

It looks like it wants to rain, but it won't. We are a drought island. There are flood watches and warnings all over the midwest, but it hasn't done more than sprinkle here since the first of June. Storms systems peter out over Illinois then re-fire in Ohio to send all our tornadoes and whatnot to the Bronx evidently. I'm not exaggerating. My yard and flowers are dead. I had the window open at work and a completely dried out spider corpse floated in the window like a leaf.

The phone here at work should start ringing any second because I'm here by myself. I will spend my afternoon taking messages. I did get more work done today than I've done in the last 4 though. Why? I (mostly) quit Facebook. No more crops. No more dishes to serve. No more frontier to clear. I'm still playing the games that don't bore the bejezus out of me. Treasure Madness and Treasure Isle, but I'm going to be giving up Treasure Isle soon I think. It irritates me that no one sends me energy packs and I'm trying to cut back on things that irritate me.

Jude has been renamed Little Bastard due to his propensity to believe that every crumb of food in the house, in the trash, on a plate, in a bowl, in the universe is his. He's also started trying to escape the house regularly. He's becoming more boy like obviously. Zoe likes to sit up on the table and let her tail dangle tauntingly over the side then kicks his ass when he takes the bait. They're getting along great already believe it or not. Jude tries to nurse sometimes and since Zoe has never had kittens that always ends poorly. He's also so loud that sometimes I think someone else is in the house when I'm alone. Not a very stealthy animal.

I've got more work to get done so I'm out. Have a better day than mine, everybody :)
