Like all the code words for D-Day in the London crossword, but not

My car radio has been creeping me out again. The first song when I turned it on yesterday on my way to work was "Highway to Hell" and yup, bad day. Today is a little more cryptic. First the Aerosmith cover of "Come Together" by the Beatles. An imposter? Then "Sister Golden Hair" by America which includes the lyric "won't you meet me in the middle, won't you meet me in the air" played next followed by "Radar Love" by Golden Earring. Who programs this stuff and why? Who is mental enough to listen to random songs on the radio and try to link them together to predict how their day will go? Oh yeah, that's me. At least when "Highway to Hell" followed by "Take the Long Way Home" I didn't turn around and go home. I wanted to, but I didn't. Of course everyday I get in the car to go to work I want to turn around and go home so that's not saying much.

The boss is out for surgery today which means the guy who only shows up when he's about to be fired isn't here and no work is being done. Since I'm the ring leader of no work being done I'm really not judging on that score. Still, at least I'm here. The guys wife doesn't know where he is either which is troubling, but my guess is he passed out from too much holiday cheer in a part of the house she hasn't looked yet.

Took the kids to the eye doctor yesterday. So much for the Christmas bonus. I'm still thinking about getting the kids a nice dress and shoes in my size for Christmas. They did clean up yesterday though so there is a Santa. I just need to get W2s done before I leave for my cruise and maybe submit my taxes. That would be a nice to have sooner rather than later. I still haven't booked my hotel for the day before or the day after. Packing would also be a good thing to start thinking about since I'm leaving in three weeks. Just a thought.

music, random thought, kids
