In other news of the weird, I was driving home and Copacabana by Barry Manilow came on the radio. The radio. I didn't think Barry Manilow was allowed to be played on the radio after 1978. Still I got my cowbell fix and looked at funny in the grocery store parking lot. Score 2!
I submitted my vacation request for the cruise in January. I'm taking Monday and Tuesday after the cruise off if I want a little cushion to get back. I still need to book my airfare. Depending on finances I may spend a day both coming and going to pad out the vacation. Flying back on Monday lowers the fare enough to pay for most of a hotel stay.
I reminded my boss that as of July 1, I get three weeks of vacation. He asked what I was going to do with all that free time. My answer - sleep. I need to get me one of those "life" thingies we hear so much about.
I went to bed at 945 last night and I was still glued to my pillow at 730 this morning. I think the change in weather is getting to me. I can't wait to get home, take a hot bubble bath, and go to bed. Now there's a good plan. Ten minutes to the end of work. I can make it ten minutes.
