Just a quick note to say that I survived Christmas shopping. $700 doesn't buy as much as it used to. Holy shit did I really spend that much? I just added up everything I had with me on Saturday and I think I did. I got a Visa Giftcard - and used all but $13 of it which thankfully is just a little bit more than I need to keep my website up for another month. Honest to goodness, I'm not sure what I bought that cost that much. Everything is already wrapped. Go me.
I didn't get any baking done at all. I only have clothes to wear because I wore sweatpants all day yesterday and only changed into pants to go pick up the kids so I didn't feel weird wearing them again today. I really need to catch up on laundry tonight.
I was bad and spent some of the Christmas money on me. JoAnn's Fabric had 50% off clearance cross stitch kits. I got two $30 kits for $7.50 each. They also send me a coupon for 40% off nearly everyday these days so I used one for a scroll frame. Unfortunately, I got a defective one and I'll be taking it back next chance I get. I stayed up until 1am stitching. Fun stuff.
As for Jim's kids, I got them two presents each and labelled them from Mike and Jake. Thomas will open up a Darth Tater, a lightsaber, and some Star Wars jammies. Sarah's getting lip gloss, finger nail polish, body glitter, Warm Vanilla Sugar shower gel and body spray (Bath & Body works had a kick ass sale this weekend), a Now 20 CD and a CD player. Bastard came out to the truck (I was with dad who needed help with his Christmas shopping) practically in tears, but I ignored him. It was a struggle, but I managed. The kids came out and said thank you too. Sarah looked near tears and I felt so sorry for her. Thomas tried to climb in the truck window. I'd try and escape too if I were him.
I just need to get a few more things for Mike and Jake and I'm done. I just need a couple more things for each of them and (hopefully) I can take care of it Friday before I go home. Plus there's the candy for their stockings. I can't get that before the day before or it will disappear before the big day.
I'm about to chuck my computer out the window and it is nearly five and I want to go home. Later all.
