Well, this is a big day *mock tear*. Yes folks, it's all us sixth years' last day at school, ever. Tomorrow our exam leave begins, and then we just don't come back.
I got up this morning, rushing around as usual...putting a book and a surprise in my bag though. Then my uncle gave me a lift to school. I came in and actually MISSED Registration...not entirely sure how, think I must have missed the bell...and then went to History. The illustrious Mrs M told us a bunch about the different ways the exam board could have phrased various questions in our "Growth of Nationalism" topic, and she gave us a few photocopies as well, to add to our already groaning folders. But if it helps us pass, I guess it can't be bad :)
Then I went to the library for half a period and sat on Afterdark commenting on Hazel's sadness in not only being able to name all of the seven dwarves, but also being able to describe the colours of the clothes they wear...
At 10.40 I went to Dalziel. We got the Creative Writing folios sorted out (W00t! They've to be handed in on Friday when we do our exam), and then I presented Jenna with the mysterious bag surprise, a nodding pink poodle...She's kind of obsessed with them though. In context it makes sense. Honest!
Lauren and Fiona read my pieces and said they were good...I came up with a title for my monologue, "Dead Letter", Gillian invited me to her birthday party, and then we all wished each other good luck and left. I'll probably never see some of them again, but Robbo, Fiona and Gillian at least are going to Strathclyde, and Lauren and Fielding are going to be in Glasgow too, at U of Glasgow, so there's a chance :)
Then I got into my taxi and came back here, and I told Mr Moffat I wasn't going to Web Design and spent fourth period partly in the common room, and then partly sitting out front of the school, taking pictures of Nicola and Lisa, Lissa, Amy and Cheryl. When the bell went for lunch, I went with Cheryl and Amy to get ice poles, which were really nice because it's actually pretty hot...
And then I sat in the common room and ate them with Lissa, Danielle, Nicola, Maggie and Jayne, before coming up here to the library to write this all down :)
Guess I just want to remember the last day. I have a lot of pictures, too, so that's good :) I was considering bunging all of my images and video together with a video editor to make a big video, Class of 2006 :) That would rock.
Well I guess that's it. In exactly one hour and ten minutes, we'll no longer be high school students!!!
Lauren
P.S. Sarah's not here right now to join in the last-day hijinks, cuz she's doing an interview for Cardonald College. So hey to her, and I hope it went well :) *hugs*
