I'ved TAed a recitation section of the same freshman chemistry class for four years now. Today was the last section, and last office hour I had. I won't be able to teach this class again next year, as you can't TA past your fifth year. Current plans don't have me TAing at all the rest of this year (though that could theoretically change, I suppose). Which means this was the end of my TAing. I'm finding this somewhat more sad that I would have expected - I only teach nine sections a quarter, so 4 years of this is still only 36 hours in front of a class.

I guess it's always somewhat distressing to see something end that you've gotten used to.

And I mean, seriously, how will I live without the ego boost of the job performance comments each year? Sheesh. It'll barely be worth going on without freshman feedback!
