I am really, really nervous about Tuesday's interview. I want--need--a job really really bad. I just hope nerves won't be the death of me. /_\
I finally saw the Princess and the Frog, or at least most of it because my family was a distraction as usual. Overall I liked it, especially "Almost There" and "Are You Ready?" There was one part that made me cry when I wasn't expecting it. When Dr. Facilier reminds Tiana
that for all her father's hard work, his dream of a restaurant never got off the ground. I think the reason it hit me so hard was because it's more realistic than heroic sacrifices and all that--those are sad too, but there's a lot of people in the world who work hard for a dream and never achieve it. For me, there's a real fear of never figuring out exactly what I want, let alone getting it. So I teared up. But the message of "not having what you want but having what you need" was reassuring afterward.
SO OVERALL: I thought some parts were a little corny/hokey (those three rednecks in the swamp, what), but I'm glad I saw it.
