Stolen from everyone XD
1. Which TV shows did you start watching in 2011? A lot! I marathon shows when I'm on break from school and the kids are zzz. Downton Abbey, the Borgias, Game of Thrones, The Vampire Diaries, Firefly, Supernatural
2. Which TV shows did you let go of in 2011? Merlin, although I'm going to attempt to correct that. During the school year, I have little time for shows and it was a choice between SPN and Merlin - and Merlin doesn't have Mischa Collins (well, neither does SPN atm but that's neither here nor there lol)
3. Which TV shows did you mean to get into but didn't in 2011? Fringe. Oh well, maybe some day XD
4. Which TV shows do you intend on checking out in 2012? I've heard excellent things about Once Upon a Time, and there's a marathon on Jan 1, so I'm DVRing it =)
5. Which TV show impressed you least in 2011? Why? "Does it need saying?" That would be the hot mess that was largely DW season 6. It was an overly convoluted mess. You knew the Doctor wasn't going to die, so the primary series arc held literally no dramatic tension. Amy's role was to be a uterus for most of the season, which was offensive and squicky. And River continued to be a badly-written waste of Alex Kingston's considerable talent. To ask "what *didn't* suck about DWs6 would be a much, much shorter list =P
6. Which TV show do you think you might let go of in 2012 unless things significantly improve? Besides DW, there's nothing that I actively dislike, so I probably won't stop watching anything (and I'll still watch DW just to keep up on canon).
7. Which TV show impressed you the most in 2011? Why? The Vampire Diaries, which I find to be an amazingly good show. The plotlines move SO quickly, yet compliment the characterizations instead of distracting from them (take a page, Moffat!) I only started watching it last week, but was instantly hooked. The subtext and the nuance of both the writing and the performances are incredibly rich.
8. Which TV shows do you think you'll never let go of no matter how crappy they get? Why? Doctor Who - because canon will matter for a long time, and my money is still on Moffat and Smith being out by 2013, so I won't have to gut it out for long.

1. Your main fandom(s) of the year: Although it is no longer my favorite show by a long shot, I still love the Doctor Who fandom more than any other. I believe this is 100% related to the friends I've made in it =) (YES FLIST, THAT MEANS YOU!!!)
2. Your favourite film this year: I don't watch a lot of movies =X
3. Your favourite book this year: I read a lot of medical journals and textbooks lol. But I don't think my pharmacology textbook counts XD
4. Your favourite TV show this year: Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, the Borgias, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural
6. Your favourite LJ community this year:
d_r_meta, the Doctor/Rose meta community - I've met a lot of awesome people on there, and it's a much more discussion-based community than most of the other comms out there.
7. Your best new fandom discovery of the year:
My Doctor Who magnet set!!! I have Rose argue with TenToo and run off with Jack on a fairly regular basis. Except then TenToo gets K9 to kidnap Rose to bring her back to him while Jack is being Cyberized -- all on my refrigerator! This is truly the magnet set that keeps on giving XD
8. Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year: I'd say Doctor Who, but I wasn't really expecting that much to begin with =/ So I'll go with Torchwood: Miracle Day, which was uncharacteristically spotty for RTD. The plot was Moffat-ly convoluted, and the characterization was Moffat-ly poor. Yes, I have invented my own insulting adverb.
9. Your TV/Movie boyfriends of the year: I have a "List of 5" - and Jensen Ackles from SPN is most definitely on it =)
10. Your TV/Movie girlfriends of the year: Emilia Clarke (Danearys from Game of Thrones). Good Lord she's beautiful.
11. Your biggest squee moment of the year: I was Tumblr, taking a study break from school, and kid-free the day that the "500 Miles" and "Let's Do It" videos came out. So I got to squee in real-time at the same time that the fandom was first discovering it. That was pretty cool =)
12. Your most missed old fandom: Doctor Who, RTD-style =(
