Fic for a friend~! ^^
This is a fic I wrote for lazynin. ^^ I hope the characterizations are okay... Just picture it takes place years later. They're older, okay? And it's ShikaSasu semi-gen fic. ^^; Enjoy!
There were times in his life when Uchiha Sasuke just wanted to sit down with someone else and not have to say anything. When he just needed the reassurance of a living, breathing human body next to him. At those times, he’d seek the company of one Nara Shikamaru.
Yes it was true that the Uchiha was dating Uzumaki Naruto. It was also true the Nara was dating Inuzuka Kiba. But that didn’t stop the two from having their meetings. It didn’t really matter, anyway. Sasuke still loved Naruto, and Shikamaru still loved Kiba. It was just that, with their partners, they couldn’t find any peace and quiet. So they reached an agreement.
Sasuke felt guilty about lying to his lover, but he really needed the time to himself. As much as he loved Naruto, the boy could get extremely annoying and clingy. Which was why it was so hard to get away from him. It usually ended with Sasuke yelling at his boyfriend before storming out of their house and slamming the door behind him. But he always apologized later. In his round-about way.
He reached the top of the hill, and spotted a familiar brush of brown hair. Making his way over to the other person, he sat down on the grass next to him, and looked up at the clouds.
The other boy glanced at him. “You’re late. Naruto slow you down, or is Kakashi finally rubbing off on you,” he asked with a smirk.
Sasuke just shrugged. “Naruto wanted me to make him some ramen.”
With a nod, Shikamaru returned his gaze to the clouds. He was comfortable with the silence between them. He’d grown used to the Uchiha’s presence next to him.
Letting out a long breath, Sasuke leaned into his companion. The quiet time was sacred, and he’d said enough.
Sasuke loved Naruto. Shikamaru loved Kiba. But they both looked forward to their precious, stolen moments.
