I finally changed my antiquated LJ name and fixed it up so it's all pretty-like.
I should really get back to studying for the theory midterm I have in 2 1/2 hours, but eh. I need a break because my brain hurts. This is my second last midterm, though, and my last midterm is the Thursday after reading week, so I've got a while. Also, it'll be my first ever intellectual midterm, so I'm excited. We've been reading some pretty amazing books in that class that I otherwise would have never thought to read. It's really tempting me to abandon music all together in favour of being an English major. But that'd be kind of hard at this point.
Winter is really dragging on. My skin is insanely dry, my hair is all angry and puffy and my throat is being an ass hole (biological mysteries abound!) because of the constant change between freezing outdoors and dry, overheated indoors. Gah. I can't wait until it's nicer out so I can go out on walks in cute little dresses again. I miss walking around while maintaining feeling in my face. Besides, I'm getting really antsy about the lack of housing on Craigslist and I need to see the "à louer" signs in Mile End for myself. I keep meaning to go over to esperanza more, but I'm so damn lazy. And I don't even have a freaking metropass this month. I live in the McGill bubble I hate so much.
Oh well. I'm broke as hell in the hopes that my scrimping/saving will soon yield a new non-busted iPod because I miss listening to music like you wouldn't believe. On an unrelated note, my cute little anchor necklace broke and I'm really pissed off.
Life is kind of boring at the moment. Not a hell of a lot is going on. Well, a hell of a lot is going on, but I'm not particularly enthralled about it or anything. Sa...friggin...voy. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL MARCH 10th! I will do a happy little dance and forget this year ever happened. That sounds kind of dramatic/amusing.
I really enjoyed working with V-Day McGill and I desperately want to be involved again next year. It has kept me sane amid stupid politics elsewhere
Bekky's cat Dylan is staying with me right now and he's just about the most adorable little creature in the world. This will be a week of snuggling and staying in bed and then going on adventures. Except for all the damned rehearsals, program layout, buying ads, selling ads, dealing with printers and pestering people about postering. Yeah, but asides from that, it's all good... Right?
