This weekend I:
-Cried like a little bitch to "West Side Story" and "Moulin Rouge" on the train. In public. Go team Claire!
-Graduated.
-Said goodbye to old friends.
-Picked up some awards, accolades and a little scratch to help me with tuition payments.
-Spent time at an old hangout with some music theatre types and ended up at a very high school-esque basement party.
-Went on a rainy walk through little India and wished I had a camera or a hand to hold.
-Had some quality time with the family watching lame movies and staying in.
-Cried like a little bitch to "The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants", which is one of the lamest movies ever made.
-Snuggled with the kitties.
-Brought back a ton of Halloween costume pieces, so stop on by for costume ideas, bitches!
-Laughed and smiled to myself at "Annie Hall" on the Train.
-Went to a rehearsal at the Oratoire St. Joseph for the Grandmaison piece.
-Walked around and wound up at the Olde Orchard with Andrew and Trystan.
Now, despite the fact that I've not been tagged, here are 10 things that would make me really happy:
1. More hugs. Hugs are a lot like a woman. They look good, they smell good, you'd step over your own mother just to get one, but you can't just have one. You've got to have another hug! (Bonus points to anyone who can identify that reference.) I'd like these hugs to be the kind of hugs that are also sniffs in a way. You know when your head is kind of in their neck between the hair and the sweater? Yeah. Those are the good ones.
2. If I could compile the great people and places from Toronto and Montreal (and hell, NYC) and make one super city. I find that so much of me is defined by the space I occupy. I also just want all my buddies in one place.
3. To have a performance opportunity come up. I really need to feel talented and to have some sort of a creative outlet.
4. To lose 20 pounds. I know that's vain as fuck and that I don't REALLY need to, but I'd like to. I'd also not like to have to work at it.
5. To keep having a steady progression of swoony moments that catch me offguard.
6. To be better in theory and musicianship and german and music history and really just everything.
7. To not get sick anymore.
8. To have a movie night with "Annie Hall", "Anchorman" and "West Side Story."
9. To go on a nice little walk with someone.
10. To eventually have everything settle down and live in a neighbourhood with the people I love and to have someone to have 3am nights and goodnight kisses with and just generally the casual approach of the entire "Friends" cast as an integral part of my life.
All of this is possible. It's amazing how the littlest thing can renew your faith in the world sometimes.
On that note, I'm going to bed. I love you guys.
