Still here
I haven't written in the blog in a while. I think it is because when things are going well, I have nothing to report. "Well" means boring, but that is a good thing.
I started my new job the beggining of July and I love it. It is exactly what I've been looking for. Something where I do not deal with the public. I get to sit at a computer and input information. We ccan listen to our headphones, and take our breaks whenever we want, too... just some perks. The paycheck is better than Kmart too. So far so good! I just need to get up to speed. But its the beginning of only my 2nd month so I am not too worried. I've already hit the department goal 2-3 times already. Just need to focus and keep going!
Things with me and the girlfriend are a little rocky. We're just on different levels right now and do not understand each other very well. She thinks I am lazy and apathetic, and I think she is controlling and it just makes for rough times. But we love each other and I believe with enough work on both our parts, things will be ok. I just can't wait to start paying her back for all the money I owe her. When times got rough she was there to help me, but it came with a price, so I can't wait to pay her back and be done with that part. She resents me for it, too. But I'll fix it. I'm paying her rent this next month so that is a start.
She starts school on the 20th.. and on the 18th we're driving to Montana for her aunt's funeral. Her aunt just 69 years old went to bed one night and just never woke up. She was healthy and fit, vibrant and full of life. No idea what the hell happened. Its a shock still.. it hasn't hit the gf yet.
This will be the 3rd damn funeral I've been to in a year. I'm at that age now, I guess... sigh.
