thanksgiving 2011 . . .

Nov 24, 2011 11:13

i was very surprised today... it was not crazy busy like it usually is on
thanksgiving day.

normally, there are a crap load of annoying people.

working was kinda relaxing.

i got home around 5pm and my family
was in the living room watching a movie. my madre
went into the kitchen and took out all the food that they had made.

they decided to eat thanksgiving dinner without me, because i was pretty late,
but i didn't care. i just wanted food.

my parents were the ones that cooked thanksgiving dinner this time.
they forgot to make the pasta, green bean casserole and the cole slaw.
i will have to make all of that tomorrow. it'll be like thanksgiving part 2. lol!

my madre was complaining about the food saying that they couldn't make it
like how i did in the past. pops made the red pepper soup, which is one of my
mom's favorite, but she asked why it didn't taste like mine.

i, obviously, added more ingredients to it. i told my ma i add freshly ground pepper,
creme fraiche, crispy prosciutto and chopped parsley. madre gave me this weird like,
" i don't know what the hell half those things are."

pops brought home pies... lots of them... we're a pie loving family.
big thumbs up to him.

this one has wild berry filling... my favorite~!  my madre kept staring at
my slice so i shared it with her. she's to lazy to cut her own slice.

my three younger sisters and my pops are looking up black friday deals.
ma is passed out downstairs.
pops is set on getting a new flat screen for the living room and ordered a 22 inch for
my room.

i told him i'm fine with what i have, which is like this little old tv.
as long as i can see what i'm watching... i'm good.

pops bought it for me anyway.

it was nice to have the family all together for the holidays.

everyone is ready to shop for black friday. i think i'll do everything online
this time. i don't really need anything. sarah ordered me some more
hoodies, because that's all i wear in the house during the winter season.

i hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving day.

: )

black friday, family, dinner, holiday, food, thanksgiving
