The army is all about giving up the control you have worked so hard for... why? I at least like to choose my own battles. Seems a waste to sign your life over to an organization that considers human life expendable. You seem cool, i beg you consider it a bit more carefully!

Talk with the friends and family of some of the enlisted. They seem to loose alot of personality and individualality, while gaining a narrower view of reality. This all assumes you come back.
Of the 6 people I have known closely and personally who have joined up, 2 of them are now clinically insane, 1 is dead, and the other three are enjoing it. The 3 still in, are the "tell me what to do" types who have little direction of their own and look to someone else to provide that. If thats your personality style, i'm sure it will work out for you, but in my mind the odds just don't look to appealing.

kay first of all. i wouldnt join the ACTIVE army. jesus. second of all, even if i did get sent to serve, they dont put chicks near anything exciting. third, im a little offended you assume i have done no research! in fact i talk to someone i know in iraq this very moment almost everyday on aim.
