i wrote this for some bullshit site. then posted it on myspace too. i didnt expect it to come out as well as i think it did.
so just read it or dont, i dont care.

i titled it "Abyss".

Abyss.

i am the dark.

i am the distant unknown.
a vaccuous plane that no form of intelligence can grasp.

try as you will, but treading into space will only cause yourself to get lost.

and nobody can hear your scream.
you will suffocate on your own exhale.
and when you open your eyes ill be gone.

the being is blank.
im immortal.
the memory remains, but the truth is lost.
was it found?
could you tell if you found it?

what is it you held in that vacuum?
you dont know.

it was a piece to the puzzle.
but youll never be able to put it in place, for youll never see the rest. just a blank jigsaw piece.

and as you feel for the edges to find its shape, it falls into dust.

do not attempt to put me together. youll only break me more.
save yourself, and stand where you are.
someone will find you
and save you.
eventually.

all you can do is be patient
and learn from the jigsaw pieces that come across you
and let them put themselves together
you can only disrupt this process.

dont destroy me.
