*sigh* Always with the running right up against deadlines...
So, the padding is sewn to the pants (and looks fabulous!), and I covered the feet in vinyl last night (not the greatest job, at least according to my standards, but really nice nonetheless).
However, nothing else has been completed. Due to me getting extremely sick (and praying to the porcelain god for it to stop), as well as the foot gluing taking a long time due to kitty interference (STAY AWAY FROM THE DAMN HOT GLUE GUN WHEN IT IS HOT!!!), I am just now today getting to covering the head.
There's also the fact I forgot I wanted to add in more LEDs into the crest of the head (and I'm not half-assing any part of this costume just to make it completed faster; I want this to turn out exactly as epic as it is in my head), so there's that.
At this point, what I'm hoping to do is finish the head and submit the head, tail, and feet, along with a back up costume, and tell them that I am working on finishing the costume, but in the event I don't, I'll be submitting Darkwing Duck instead (I want to use Yakko as a possible hall costume). Hopefully, that will suffice to prove the costume will be done in time and of the quality they prefer for the masquerade. :)
I get off work at 4pm, and I want to submit things tonight, as well as resubmit them tomorrow, so I'll have about 6.5 hours to get stuff done. Hopefully, that'll be enough time to make a good dent in the rest of the costume.
